GU is a two fold project, consisting of a program and podcast, designed to teach girls the skills they need to become leaders in their schools, communities, and beyond. Both the podcasts and the program commenced in January 2023, and we are actively seeking girls from 5th to 12th grade to participate in our program and be guests on our podcast.
This project includes activities for girls from ages 8-18. Girls Uninterrupted is a reflection of all women who look in the mirror and ask themselves the question, WHAT WOULD I SAY TO MY YOUNGER SELF?
This leads them to not only have inner beauty, but also become powerful competent women.
Every girl has the potential to be a leader, regardless of her background or experiences. By participating in this program and podcast, girls will develop a sense of empowerment, resiliency, and a belief in their own abilities. They will learn to identify their strengths and weaknesses, and use those insights to become incredible, strong women. And, most importantly, they will learn to support and encourage each other.
We engage in fun and inspirational conversations with girls, allowing them to tell their story however they wish, because this generation of females are faced with seemingly insurmountable challenges and speaking out on what they feel through the GU Podcast will not only send a refreshing spirit within them but also other girls that hear their story.
This podcast is meant for girls from ages 8 to 18 to have fun and engage with each other.
We are recording live around the city of Seattle, the Seattle public Schools, and at our four studio locations
GU empowers girls in building self confidence and enhances the skills necessary to become effective and influential women as they grow into adulthood through a number of activities. Some of our activities include:
If you’re interested in being a guest on our podcast or if you are interested in being a program participant, WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!
“Each week, GU will highlight issues and stories of success, failures, embarrassment, comedic situations, relationships between mothers and daughters, sisters, fathers and daughters; death, birth, abuse, emotions, health, food, funny, artsy, and just plain life. And, each week, the expectation is that YOU respond to the issues and stories by discussing how each of these chronicles of life relates to YOU, and trust me, they will!”
